Summer Crafting Fun: Project Share / Mixed Media Canvas for Mui's Mini Workshop & MHC#17 多媒材作品

Hello, there. Today I'd like to share a mixed media project I created for Meishia's Facebook Group mini challenge for 2nd week, and More Handmade Challenge#17 for May.

For Meishia's 2nd challenge this week, we have to create a mixed media project that uses dry embossing or heat embossing. And for MHC#17 challenge, we have to use 3 circles on our project.

I got my inspiration from Wilna Furstenberg's beautiful artwork(link here). I just love Wilna's style so much that I took several of her online workshops. And I love to watch her creating her awesome projects on videos she made. If you don't know Wilna you definitely got to visit her wonderful blog.

I started out with covering white gesso all over my canvas surface. And then I used a few watercolors to color several panels. Then I used a Tim Holtz's heart stencil and modeling paste to add texture. Before the paste dried, I poured gold glitter embossing powder and heated set it.

Dust the excess glitter, I also used a Crafter's Workshop stencil with modeling paste to stencil "DREAM" and "CREATE". After it dried, I then pull a couple of stamp sets to stamp here and there using black archival ink.

I used a brush and acrylic paint to hand script "LOVE" and fussy cut it out.

The rest of the work was to decorate the canvas. I used some fabric flowers and leaves I purchased in a local store. I also cut some paper leaves from prima's metal dies.

I added a few of circle embellishments I made, as the element is required to use in MHC#17.

第2週的多媒材挑戰的主題: 使用壓凸版或是燙凸粉。

我本來想作張卡片交作業，後來想想既然是多媒材的挑戰，我還是多動手試試吧，既然材料也有了，不拿出來用等到乾掉或壞掉就遺憾了~

我拿了一個很久以前買的畫布(canvas)來用，先用白色的打底劑(white gesso)刷在畫布上，這樣等一下使用水彩的時候才會顯色。等打底劑乾了之後，我挑了幾色的水彩刷在畫布上。

這次作品的靈感來自加拿大一個很棒的藝術家，叫做Wilna Furstenberg。她創作了很多相編作品，而且她在作品中使用了很多自己創作的花草元素和手寫的文字，最棒的是她將這些元素轉成電子檔，妳可以透過她的網站購買下載然後使用在作品中。除此之外，我最喜歡Wilna的風格在於她使用的色彩非常溫柔，而且雖然他大量使用花草鳥這些元素，她的作品看起來仍然非常乾淨又現代感，我真的非常喜歡，大家可以到她的部落格去看看。

水彩乾了之後，接下來我使用型版+塑型膏+金粉燙凸粉來增加層次感 (金粉果然飛得到處都是)。等第一層乾了之後，我又用另一個型版+塑型膏塗抹在角落的地方。等所有的塑型膏都乾了之後(一定要有耐心啊，不管是吹乾的還是自然蔭乾的都好，不然妳知道的~~~ = = 別問我怎麼知道的)，我用好幾款印章沾黑色的油性印台這裡蓋點，那裡蓋一點。

我還用壓克力水彩+水筆手寫了幾個英文字，挑了其中一個剪下來備用。

最後就是裝飾，我用了一些人造的緞帶花和紙花，還用prima的刀模剪了一些葉子，並且妝點幾個我自己手作的圖卡，把所有的素材都用熱熔膠黏好就完成了!

這個作品和上次的改造相框我打算拿來裝飾我媽媽的工作室，她的麵包工作室即將開始運作，她最拿手的優格鮮奶吐司真是吃過的親朋好友都喜歡，還有歐式麵包和手工餅乾也非常好吃，媽媽已經六十幾歲了，但是她說因為喜歡所以想要繼續創作和大家分享，等工作室的部落格和臉書粉絲團弄好後，希望大家都來按個讚! po幾張我幫忙拍攝的麵包照片給大家欣賞。
